Pioneer Chicken Memorabilia

pioneer chicken buttons

At the Valley Relics museum in California’s San Fernando Valley there’s a great little display case with some tasty souvenirs of the best fast food fried chicken chain ever – Pioneer Chicken. While there are still a couple of stores still keeping the dream alive, the chain has mostly faded into memory. but here, for those who remember, is a shot I took of some employee buttons that were on display in the museum. The buttons are sitting on top of an employee uniform for added fun.

For those of you who grew up in the Valley, the Valley Relics museum is worth an hour of your time. It’s a small museum in an industrial park in Chatsworth. The museum is free (donations welcome) and only open for a few hours on Saturdays, but they do operate a very active Facebook page as well.
