McDonald’s Finally Caving on Dollar Menu

McDonald’s was pretty much the last holdout in keeping the word “Dollar” in their “Dollar Menu.”  While most other chains have switched to some variation on the word “Value” to describe low-priced products, McDonald’s insistence on sticking with the word “dollar” severely restricted their ability to market and promote specialty items that could not profitably be sold at that price.

According to an article in AdAge, McDonald’s will make a switch in November to debut a “Dollar Menu & More” structure of three tiers, giving them much-needed pricing flexibility.
