Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is a small regional fast food Mexican restaurant chain with about 150 stores throughout primarily the southern U.S. Originating in Fort Worth, TX, the chain stretches as far west as Arizona and as far east as Florida. They specialize in Baja tacos and other Mexican standards made with fresh ingredients.
You order Fuzzy’s at a counter and they bring the food to you. This is not Chipotle-style, although you are free to customize your order. I tried a Shredded Brisket Taco and a Shredded Chicken Taco. Pictured below, the chicken is on the left. I really liked the chicken taco which was moist and full of well-balanced flavors. On the other hand, the brisket was disappointing. It arrived dry and pretty drab.
As a side, I bought some chips. They came out first in a basket with salsa. They’re coated in a seasoning that makes them fun to eat on their own too.
I’d recommend Fuzzy’s but I’m not sure I’d ever crave it.
