As a somewhat new visitor, I like to say hi to every one and tell the webmaster how much I love this site. It's informative and fun.
As for my own happy memory, it's not for a particular food but a chain. Back when I was a wee one, there was a chain restaurant that was McDonald's
main rival in the Northeast called Gino's. It unfortunately went bankrupt, but they had some pretty good food including a bbq spare rib sandwich that
they specialed periodically. Does anyone remember them?

I'm sure they were in PA, NJ and Del. but outside of that I wouldn't know. They went out of business about 20 years ago. But they were pretty big in
the area. Also, they had some relationship with the Philadelphia Phillies because their players were in their commericials. At the time, their stars
were Gary Maddox, Mike Schmidt and "The Bull" Greg Luzinski...Just to give you a time frame.

Growing up in NJ and still residing here I remember Gino's. There was one a few towns away from where I live now. It was on Rt. 130 in Willingboro. I
was fairly young the last time I ate there but I do remember it being very tasty. My father used to go there because he couldn't stand the long lines
at "Golden Arches,"
(McDonalds) To this day he still calls it that...lol. Ginos brings back some memories of old. I remember that jingle too..."Everybody goes to Gino's,
'cause Gino's is the place to go." We also had the localized version of that joke that marcbla mentions. "Why does everyone use the bathroom at
Gino's? 'Cause Gino's is the place to go." God, how lame was that joke, even for back then...lol. Now, does anyone remember Jack In The Box? I
understand that there are some still around on the west coast, is this true? I used to love thier Super Taco's way back when. I think they'd still
beat anything that Taco Bell puts out.

You bet! Jack In The Box is the 12th largest fast food chain (in terms of total sales) and has over 1800 stores! And yes, they still make tacos!

Ahh yes Gino's growing up in Edison NJ in the 70's they were everywhere. My favorite menus was their burger called the Ginos's Giant. Are there also
any more Hardee's charbroiled burgers or Flakey Jakes
