Happy Star
Ok, this is probably an old question, but whats the connexion between Carl's Jr and Hardees? Im from upstate NY, we dont have either restaurant in
abundance, but I road trip a lot and have noticed that every now and then a Hardees will have the same happy star logo as all the Carls Jr. Whats the
story?

Carls Jr.'s parent company, CKE, bought Hardees a couple of years ago and they are slowly integrating the CJ menu and branding into the Hardees
stores.

Hardee's poor substitute for Carl's
Anyone who grew up with Carl's Jr. and later ventured into a Hardee's upon seeing Happy Star may have been as disappointed as I was. Carl's always
had the best, frershest food and was just a cut above the rest... even above Jack and Wendy's. But Hardee's has a cheap and greasy quality, and not
in a good way.

Sadly, this is usually the case with mergers and aquisitions in any industry. Hopefully you'll see an improvement over time.

whats the deal with the sleezy lame bull ad?
Why would a burger joint want an image of a sleezy hamburger joint with the latest ad that shows a naked midriff and bottom plus face expressions to
show that shes getting simulated??
So wheres the bull??
Women eat there too right?
Many families will not eat there now and there needs to be a better way to sell your burgers in your ads.
Maybe something TASTEFUL
and meaningfull instead of a quick slut ad?
Take out the BULL and clean up your sleezy act to serve your FAMILIES not just the boys.

I grew up with Carls Jr and it is my favorite FF joint. I moved to MO in 2000 for law school and didn't like the lack of Carls. Then I noticed Hardees
was acquired by CKE and I figured that meant Carls Jr was going nationwide. But NOOOOO....first they started using some Carls burgers (Famous Star,
Super Star, Western Bacon), but everything else was Hardees.
I first thought this was a good sign: It means they were slowly going to Carls' menu.
BUT THEN, OUT OF NOWHERE, Hardees (Remember, still owned by CKE) scraps any connection menu wise to Carls (besides the actual star logo) and goes with
this ridiculous pathetic THICKBURGER crap.
I cannot believe it!!! All I want is a freaking DOUBLE WESTERN, CARLS JR (not Hardee) FRIES, CARLS JR's tangy ketchup...is that too much to ask????? I
think it's becase CKE doesn't think the people who grew up with Hardees will react well to Carls, but if they give it a chance they will LOVE Carl's
Jr.
Right now if I want Carls I have to drive 200+ miles each way to OK, and most here don't even have that luxury.
CKE needs to face facts: Hardees sucks. All of these citysearch poll results they show are totally false. WE NEED CARLS JUNIOR NATIONWIDE BEFORE I GO

Carl's Jrs Disgusting Ads
Speaking as a woman, I am deeply offended by Carl's Jrs latest foray into promotion of porn and sleaze (see mechanical bull ads and Hefner chomping on
a burger with his dentures). No longer can I bite into one of their burgers without the image of that aging, m.b.ing pervert, Hefner, coming to mind
-- totally disgusting. They give their advertising agency 50 million dollars a year, and all they can come up with is porn and sleaze? What
creativity (sarcasm intended). Anyone who identifies with a 70 plus something pervert talking about his "tastes" every night, while flashing on the
screen are girls and women young enough to be his great-granddaughters has a serious problem. Not to mention those one-arm bandits who can do nothing
better than to sexually bond with plastic and paper because they aren't men enough to handle a real woman. Disgusting, sleazy, shameful....I will
never eat there again, nor will my family or friends. Give me 50 million dollars a year, and I promise you I could come up with one heck of a
creative ad that doesn't have to dive into the gutter, or treat men like perverts or women like sluts to get "attention".

Although I am shocked there is a Carl's Jr in Peoria, Peoria is much farther away from me than the Carl's Jr in Claremore, OK. Thanks for the
information, but I am still MAD AS H-E-L-L with CKE for not just dumping everything that is Hardees and going NATIONWIDE with Carl's Jr.

My gripe is over the new Hardees commericals for their "big burgers"...
I find as a woman (yes! I am offended)
the latest one particulary offensive.
There is a greasy oaf working on an old car (something about repairing a blown engine sorry the GIRLY in me doesn't remember much more of the
details)
A cute young thing with blonde hair and a tank top is laying against a work bench...she sighs. "I'm bored"...flash to the greasy oaf who is holding a
BIG BURGER from Hardees in his meaty paw.
He doesn't look up, he takes a big sloppy bite of this ENORMOUS burger...and keeps working on the car. She says something like "When are you going to
be through?" (btw she HAS no food, NADA)
he ignores her still... and the announcer says something to the effect of "Hardess!
Big burgers! Not for wimps...(I guess they are just for DUMB Oafs!)...no toy (that would leave me and my children OUT!) MAN SIZED for MEN!" Really?
Hmmmmmmm. That would imply that ONLY a real MAN would rudely IGNORE his lady...and chomp disgustingly on a burger not even acknowledging her
presense. Unless, of course later he wants sex. Then he will talk to her?
That's a MAN? I beg to differ. I have many words for that kind of male...MAN is not one. If I were that girl that Burger would end up in this
JERK'S face as I walked out FOR good! Then of course he'd probably chase her and beat her up.
After all only MEN abuse their women while eating a Hardees MAN SIZED burger!
What is this? And WHY? is this terrible message sending commerical even ALLOWED to air? UGH:mad:
My own 6'4" husband has a penchant for Krystal's (by the sackfull) but then, he's not a REAL man! According to Hardees because HE talks to me! Gee!
I never KNEW that!
Anyone else seen this? Ludicrous!

And I mean to add. Although we don't live in that area. And I have not seen the Hef commerical. I love Hef. So what if he's got DENTURES? And a
girl writhing on a bull ride is FLUFF (how about the gals having noisy orgasms in the shower with Herbal Essence shampoo any different?)...
To me the Hardees commerical I mention is FAR more long-reaching and damaging to the view of the way boys (who are watching) think of MEN (according
to Hardees) treating women...than some silly bull ride and dear old Hef eating a burger.
This is MIND play. Treat your woman like crap and be a REAL MAN! Ignore her...
Hef's is FUN! There is a huge difference, IMO!

I liked the bull rider girl, and the burger was excellent too!!! I just tried one... wonderfully tasty! You feeble minded grumps who are offended by
a commercial can just miss out on a dang good burger. I laugh at your stupidity. :P

I think the Hardees commercial with the girl riding the mechanical bull is cool. I'm not a kid (45), I like the humor it brings. This is just my
opinion, that is the best 8 second ride I've ever seen. Commercials like this you remember and there burgers are twice as good that macdonalds crap.

I am 48 years old and love the bull ride. I will try the burger because who ever came up with this commercial has to know how to make a hamburger. I
work for a police dept and we need a poster of her at the station. Serious though, I do not know who she is but I beleive because of the Bull Ride you
will be seeing alot of her on TV and Hardee's is about to sell a lot of burgers.

is,a commercial. If Hardee's uses a hunky fireman wearing boots and suspenders no shirt we would not hear you complaining on the computer because you

This is the USA. You can turn it off when it comes on your TV. You can spend your money elsewhere. That's the beauty of this country. As for
requiring everything on TV to be OK for "families" (children), forget it!!! No way are we going to be subjected to Sesame Street 24/7.

The bull-riding girl is Cameron Richardson. She was on the show "Skin" on Fox and will be seen there again if all goes according to plan with "Point
Pleasant" which is set to air early 2005, also on Fox. She's awesome.
